NATA operates the NATA Safety 1st Ground Audit Program and provides the NATA Safety 1st Ground Audit Registry and related resources (collectively, the "Program") as a service to the aviation industry and the public, with the goal of furthering the safety of the air transportation industry. Although NATA manages the Program, NATA does not conduct the actual audits. Rather, on-demand air charter operators, business aircraft operators, and other ground handling facility users are either self-audited by qualified employees or audited by third-party auditors who are trained under the Program.
The operation of aircraft poses inherent dangers that cannot be completely eliminated regardless of safety precautions taken. Although the Program promotes the safety of facilities certified under the Program, NATA does not warrant the reliability or safety of the facilities certified under the Program. Users of the Program rely on such services at their own risk. Under no circumstances shall NATA be liable to any users of the Program, including but not limited to members of the public, fixed base operators, airports, other service providers, and their customers, employees, agents, and/or auditors, for any injuries, damages, and/or other harms of any kind resulting directly or indirectly from the use or reliance of the Program
