The National Weather Service (NWS) has joined the FAA and the general aviation community’s eight month “Got Weather?” national safety campaign. NWS delivers consistent, timely, and accurate weather information for both domestic and international airspace from three specialized aviation weather offices – Aviation Weather Center, Alaska Aviation Weather Unit and the Weather Forecast Office in Honolulu, HI. The NATA 2014 Fall Committee Meetings start on Monday, September 15, 2014 with meetings and a networking reception and conclude on Tuesday, September 16, 2014 following a half-day of meetings at the Hilton Savannah DeSoto Hotel in Savannah, GA. nullParticipate in NATA Flag Pins for Veterans Project – More than $15,000 Collected in Support of America’s Veterans

NATA is working with industry to raise charitable donations for organizations supporting America's veterans. NATA members are asked to participate by displaying American-made flag pins in their operations with signage suggesting a donation of at least $1.00 per pin. The funds for this project will be collected periodically through NATA. The project will run through October 2014 culminating in a check presentation to the veterans organizations. nullSignature Expands Its Network Options

Sonoma Jet Center at California’s Charles M. Schulz-Sonoma County Airport is the latest facility to go live as a member of Signature Flight Support’s Signature Select affiliate program, which allows FBOs to retain their independent brand while receiving support from Signature’s sales and marketing programs. Located in the heart of California’s wine country, the FBO features a well appointed passenger terminal and a newly built 22,000-sq-ft hangar capable of sheltering aircraft the size of a G650. “We are pleased with the transition to become a Signature Select affiliate,” noted FBO co-owner Josh Hochberg, adding that the partnership has already attracted new customers to his facility. Landmark Aviation has completed its newly-constructed state-of-the-art facility at San Diego International Airport (SAN). nullBBA Aviation CEO Notes 15 Months of Growth in U.S. Bizav Flying

Business and general aviation flying in the U.S. has seen 15 months of growth, BBA Aviation CEO Simon Pryce noted on Tuesday during the company’s second-quarter investor call. Large-cabin jet flying in the U.S. has experienced 15 months of growth and is up 5 percent year-over-year in the first half; midsize jets, six months, 1-percent growth; and light jets, nine months, 3-percent growth. Business and general aviation movements in Europe declined by 1 percent year-over-year, he said. Pryce is predicting continued recovery in the North American market in the second half. Read more.
