NATA Thanks FAA Administrator Michael P. Huerta for His Contributions to the Aviation Business Community

Today, NATA President Martin H. Hiller congratulated Michael P. Huerta on the successful conclusion of his five-year term as FAA Administrator. Hiller acknowledged Administrator Huerta’s significant contributions to American aviation, overseeing the operation of the world’s most complex, yet safest, air traffic control system. Huerta’s outstanding service and contributions to the aviation industry were marked in November 2017, as Huerta received NATA’s Distinguished Public Service Award. Hiller praised Huerta’s collaborative approach stating, “A hallmark of this tenure was his commitment to building consensus around major decisions and willingness to always listen to the needs of the aviation business community, most recently demonstrated by his support of initiatives related to regulatory consistency and a compliance philosophy that emphasizes making the world’s safest system even safer.” The Trump Administration has announced that Deputy Administrator Daniel Elwell will serve as Acting Administrator.
