Aeroplex Group Partners Becomes First Airport Developer Certified To NATA Sustainability Standard for Aviation Businesses

Washington, DC, February 14, 2022 – Last week, Aeroplex Group Partners (Aeroplex), headquartered in Long Beach, California, became the first airport developer to self-certify under NATA’s Sustainability Standard for Aviation Businesses – a free industry standard designed to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions (including CO2), increase use of more environmentally friendly energy sources, reduce waste, and encourage sustainability operation-wide.  “In all of our airport design programs, we deliver first-class, sustainable facilities and amenities based on the latest best practices, including Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification and other state/local standards,” stated Aeroplex President & CEO Curt Castagna. “We collaborate and consult with our national business aviation clients and airports to address the unique needs of aircraft owners, operators, and flight crews, while optimizing opportunities for integrating rational sustainable development practices.”  A preferred provider of aviation consulting, development, property management, and project management services, Aeroplex certified both its Long Beach and Van Nuys general aviation and business aircraft centers under NATA’s sustainability standard. “We congratulate Aeroplex for achieving the Green Aviation Business tier at its Long Beach location and Green Aviation Business – Tier 1 in Van Nuys and are excited to see the standard adopted within the airport development sector,” stated NATA’s Managing Director of Industry & Regulatory Affairs Megan Eisenstein. “Companies like Aeroplex and others participating in the program are leading the way for aviation businesses interested in reducing their carbon footprint.” Developed by a working group under NATA’s Environment Committee, the NATA Sustainability Standard for Aviation Businesses provides a process for pursuing flexible, cost-effective options to lower the carbon footprint of all aviation businesses.
