NATA Announces Changes to Board of Directors for 2021

Washington, DC, June 23, 2021 – The National Air Transportation Association (NATA) announces Board of Directors leadership changes and the election of two new members.

Clive Lowe, Executive Vice President of Atlantic Aviation Services, was elected as the new board chairman. Clive’s home base is in Arlington, Virginia. Clive will take the helm from Curt Castagna, President & CEO of Aeroplex/Aerolease Group in Long Beach, CA, who will continue to serve as immediate past chair on NATA’s Executive Committee.

The new vice-chair is Joe Gibney, who is Chief Operating Officer of TAC Air in Dallas, Texas. 

Jeff Ross, President and CEO of Ross Aviation headquartered in Denver, was elected to serve an additional term as past chair on NATA’s Executive Committee. 

C.R. Sincock, II, President and CEO of Avflight Corporation in Ann Arbor, Michigan, and Todd Anderson, Chief Operating Officer of Sheltair Aviation in Orlando, Florida, were elected to serve at-large.

“We all owe a debt of gratitude to Curt Castagna as he completes his second term as board chairman. As immediate past chair, Curt will continue to drive initiatives that build connections between aviation businesses and their communities,” stated NATA President and CEO Timothy Obitts. “Curt’s dedication to seeing the Association and its membership thrive despite great odds is commendable. We also thank Scott Owens of McClellan Jet Services for his dedication as he completes his board term.”

C.R. Sincock, II, is President and CEO of Avflight Corporation, which owns and operates FBOs and other infrastructure at 23 airports around the world, and executive vice president of Avfuel Corporation, a global supplier of aviation fuel and services. Sincock’s near-term focus areas include technology enhancements to improve the customer experience, international expansion and the introduction of sustainable aviation fuel into the marketplace. 

Sincock graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Harvard College in 2007 with an A.B. in economics. He subsequently joined the energy desk at QVT Financial LP, a multi-strategy hedge fund based in New York City. Sincock earned an M.B.A. in general management from Harvard Business School, where he graduated as a Baker Scholar in 2013. 

 

Todd Anderson joined Sheltair Aviation in 2000 as Senior Vice President of Aviation Development overseeing and coordinating the aviation real estate development, properties and leasing department, governmental relations, and overall business development for the corporate / family organization. Todd has been a key company executive that has played an important role leading Sheltair’s expansion and long-term growth of its FBO operations and real estate development holdings. He has over thirty-six (36) years of aviation experience and has developed extensive long-term business relationships with airports, private aviation operators, aerospace firms and other traded related organizations throughout the United States.

Todd holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Aviation Business Administration from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from the University of Central Florida. Todd has lived in Orlando for over 30 years. He is married to Michele and has three sons. He also holds a private pilot’s certificate.
