NATA Congratulates Captain Billy Nolen on His Appointment as FAA Associate Administrator for Aviation Safety

Washington, DC, December 22, 2021 – The National Air Transportation Association released the following statement on the Federal Aviation Administration’s selection of Captain Billy Nolen to head the agency’s aviation safety organization.

“NATA congratulates Captain Bill Nolen on his appointment to serve as FAA Associate Administrator for Aviation Safety. Captain Nolen’s vast experience and commitment to fostering a culture of safety will be key as SMS becomes standard across the aviation industry. We look forward to working with him and his team on initiatives that advance safety and protect aviation businesses and the public,” stated NATA Vice President of Regulatory Affairs John McGraw.
