NATA Congratulates Jennifer Homendy’s Confirmation as NTSB Chair

Washington, DC, August 11, 2021 – On Monday, the U.S. Senate approved Jennifer Homendy to serve as Chair of the National Transportation Safety Board. National Air Transportation Association (NATA) President and CEO Timothy Obitts issued the following statement in response:  

"The National Air Transportation Association congratulates Jennifer Homendy on her Senate confirmation as chair of the National Transportation Safety Board. NATA looks forward to continuing to work closely with Chair Homendy in advancing our efforts to combat illegal charter operations, as this remains a top priority for maintaining safer skies."

The Honorable Jennifer Homendy took the oath of office as the 44th Member of the National Transportation Safety Board on August 20, 2018. She was unanimously reconfirmed by the Senate on August 1, 2019, for a five-year term expiring December 31, 2024.
