NATA Mourns the Loss of Matt Zuccaro Former HAI President

Washington, DC, February 26, 2020 – NATA joins the aviation community in mourning the passing of former long-time Helicopter Association International (HAI) President Matt Zuccaro. “On behalf of the NATA Board of Directors and members, I extend my condolences to his family, colleagues, and close network of friends. Matt has always been a steadfast partner in advancing the aviation community’s shared safety goals and a staunch protector of the industry. His keen sense of humor and willingness to share his wealth of knowledge will be greatly missed,” stated NATA President and CEO Timothy Obitts.

Zuccaro was named President of Helicopter Association International in November 2005, serving in that role for 15 years. In January 2020, Zuccaro retired and became a independent industry consultant. In his career, Zuccaro held several executive and operations management positions with commercial, corporate, air tour, scheduled airline, and public-service helicopter operations in the northeastern U.S.
