NATA Statement on Passage of FY 2023 Government Funding, AAIM Act
Washington, DC, December 27, 2022 – The Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2023 passed by Congress and signed by the President late last week includes critical provisions for the aviation industry, from establishment of a pilot grant program for Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) infrastructure to increased funding for key Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) programs. National Air Transportation Association (NATA) President and CEO Curt Castagna issued the following statement:
“NATA applauds the United States Congress for prioritizing aviation safety, innovation, and sustainability in the FY 2023 omnibus appropriations bill. By funding critical programs related to aviation workforce development, alternative fuels such as SAF and unleaded Avgas, advanced air mobility preparation, and general aviation airport infrastructure, this legislation will further our industry’s successful partnership with the FAA to maintain the national Airspace System while embracing innovation and decreasing our environmental impact. On behalf of aviation businesses across the country, NATA thanks Congressional leaders on both sides of the aisle for their work to ensure the success of the business and general aviation industry.”
