NATA Supports Second Term for TSA Administrator Pekoske

Washington, DC, May 10, 2022 – On May 6, President Biden announced his intent to nominate the Honorable David Pekoske to serve a second term as Transportation Security Administration (TSA) Administrator. David Pekoske was first confirmed by the U.S. Senate in August 2017. The National Air Transportation Association (NATA) issued the following statement in support: “The National Air Transportation Association applauds President Biden’s announcement nominating TSA Administrator David Pekoske for a second term. NATA appreciates Administrator Pekoske’s tireless efforts to improve transportation security across all modes and we look forward to future collaboration,” stated NATA President and CEO Timothy Obitts. “When confirmed, Administrator Pekoske will continue to make a difference in advancing our Nation’s Airspace System’s security through prioritizing workforce recruitment and retention, including leveraging diversity and inclusion to develop a culture that embraces creativity and forward-thinking to mitigate risks and respond to threats.
