Long-time Employee Amy B. Koranda Announces Retirement from NATA

Washington, DC, March 20, 2015 – The National Air Transportation Association (NATA) Vice President of Operations Amy B. Koranda announced her retirement from NATA effective March 31, 2015.

During its recently completed Spring meeting, NATA’s Board of Directors recognized and honored Koranda’s contributions to the industry, thanking her for her faithful service and efforts to further the causes of NATA and its members.

“My decision to retire from NATA after nearly 17 years comes with many mixed emotions. I am extremely proud of the progress NATA is making in advancing safety and training throughout general aviation but as is true with all significant transitions, I shall greatly miss the scores of close friends I’ve come to know in this great  industry,” stated Amy B. Koranda.

“From her start in developing the Professional Line Service Training Online program to her many years of growing NATA Safety 1st to her time as Vice President of Operations, we have all come to rely on Amy as a trusted expert and friend. We commend her dedication to NATA, to the safety and success of aviation businesses and especially to our members – most of whom she knows on a first name basis,” stated NATA President and CEO Thomas L. Hendricks.

“Amy Koranda leaves a strong legacy for both NATA and the industry that is without parallel and we wish her the very best,” added Hendricks.
