Membership & Marketing Coordinator

NATA (National Air Transportation Association) is seeking a Membership & Marketing Coordinator to assist with member support, lead generation, database administration, and carrying out planned marketing and communication activities.

The ideal candidate will have excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to maintain organization and effectiveness while working on multiple projects. This position is based in Washington, DC offering a hybrid work schedule with an expectation of commuting to the office up two days a week.  

Duties

Reporting to the Associate Vice President, Member Services & Engagement, this position is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations and maintenance of NATA’s member community, as well as the execution of its marketing initiatives. Other responsibilities include assisting NATA’s renewal, recruitment, and retention efforts, as well as driving revenue growth through promotions and customer service.

1. Customer Relationship Management 

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with NATA’s membership and the industry at-large. 
  • Ensure excellent customer service and satisfaction through interactions on NATA’s customer support platform, in-person, and on the phone. 
  • Assist in daily customer support needs, such as accepting payments, refunds, and customer troubleshooting. 

2. Salesforce and Internal Systems Administration and Process Optimization 

  • Serve as a Salesforce administrator. No prior experience is required. 
  • Provide administrative assistance in handling and tracking data across internal systems. 
  • Utilize organization software programs to streamline internal processes.  

3. Curating Marketing Content and Marketing Plan Execution 

  • Assist the marketing team in generating content as needed.  
  • Management of weekly email newsletter from outlining and formatting to sending.  
  • Manage website updates and social channels.  
  • Format, schedule, and send regular communications such as press releases, member updates, and promotions through Pardot. 

4. Market Research and Lead Generation  

  • Conduct regular market research to understand industry trends and competitive landscape. 
  • Identify areas of growth or improvement in NATA’s membership and sales. 
  • Use Salesforce tools for effective market segmentation. 
  • Perform regular data integrity and quality audits. 

5. Reporting and Analysis 

  • Provide marketing, communication, and membership reports to senior management to track success and effectiveness. 
  • Assist NATA team members in data analysis and reporting as requested. 

6. Opportunities to Assist with other Association Projects as Assigned. 

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of and/or experience in the aviation business industry are a plus, but not required. 
  • Highly organized with the ability to work independently and as a member of a team. 
  • Excellent customer service and relationship management skills. 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Willingness to take on new tasks. 
  • Professional demeanor and a positive attitude. 
  •  Experience in customer support and database management, especially Salesforce, is preferred. 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, business, or marketing OR 2-3 years’ experience in a related field. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. 
  • Potential industry event support and travel as needed. 
  • Knowledge of standard office administrative practices and procedures.
