PSP2 Agreement Update

NATA has been advised that the Department of Treasury began sending agreements today to Part 135 passenger air carriers pursuant to the PSP2 program authorized by Congress in the Fiscal Year 2021 Omnibus Appropriations Act (“Act”). As authorized by the Act, Treasury prorated payments – for both 135 and 121 carriers – at a level of approximately 39% of the awardable amount. For those receiving $100 million or less, this is an outright grant.

The list of applicants is posted on Treasury’s website. If you filed prior to January 15th and do not see your company’s name on the list of 239 entities, please let us know. We would like to note that the proration is authorized by the Act and is at the Treasury’s discretion. Treasury, as it did with PSP1, opted to process the 121 carriers first and awarded them approximately $12.25 billion of the total $15 billion appropriated in the Act.

With regards to PSP2 for “contractors,” Treasury has not yet started processing those applications. When we learn of any information regarding “contactors”, we will inform you. Please contact us at covid@nata.aero, if you have questions on the PSP2.
